Can I re-join the city trash program after I leave it?

Yes.  Participation in the city’s trash service is voluntary.  You can choose not to participate in the program by filing a “Trash Fee Change/Dispute Form”.   

If you choose to re-join the city’s trash fee program and your property qualifies for City-provided trash collection and disposal services, the city will assign no more than one trash container per dwelling unit to your property.  The trash fee is $90 per city-issued trash can and is not pro-rated.  The city reserves the right not to accept requests for new or returning service.   

Property owners that opt-out and then decide to opt back in within the same fiscal year will be assessed a $25 barrel re-delivery fee.
