End date: Wednesday October 14, 2009 at 2 p.m.The City is seeking bids for security guard services for seven Springfield branch libraries The contractor will provide all labor and equipment for the following locations, days and times.
Brightwood Branch Tuesday 3-5 PM; Thursday 3-8 PM, East Forest Park Mon. 3-5 PM; Wed. 4-8 PM and Fri. 3-5 PM, Forest Park Tues. 3-5 PM: Wed (2 Officers); Thurs. 4-8 PM (2 officers), Indian Orchard Mon. 3-5 PM; Wed 3-8 PM; Sat 11 AM-3 PM, Libery St. Tues. 4-8 PM; Thurs. 3-5 PM, Mason Square Thurs. 3-7 PM Fri. 1-5 PM and Pine Point Mon. 3-5 PM ; Wed. 3-8 PM; Fri. 3-5:15 PM. All branches will be closed for holidays listed in the bid documents.
The agreement period is from Nov. 1, 2009 through October 31, 2010. There are two one year options to renew. The estimated annual cost is $48,500.00.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
