11-014 - RFP: Redevelopment of 781 Worthington Street

End date: Tuesday August 31, 2010 at 2 p.m.

The City of Springfield is requesting proposals for the redevelopment of 781 Worthington Street. This is a commercial building located within the Metro Center neighborhood of Springfield. The property contains a single story, brick structure, constructed in 1901 that measures approximately 12,444 square feet located on a 14,524 square foot lot. The City will entertain all offers.

Site Tour Schedule for 781 Worthington Street:

July 27, 2010 at 2:00-3:00 p.m.

August 6, 2010 at 9:30-10:30 a.m.

August 11, 2010 at 3:00-4:00 p.m.

An indemnification agreement must be executed and submitted to the City staff prior to entry.

 No additional tours can be accommodated
 All attendees should bring flashlights and come
dressed in appropriate attire
 Attendees should be prepared to enter the building
within the first fifteen minutes allotted for the
site tour.
 Site will be closed if there are no attendees
within the first fifteen minutes of scheduled
site tour.

In order to provide prompt answers to questions, the RFP Committee requests that all proposers submit written questions one week prior to the RFP response deadline. Accordingly, questions must be received in writing only at the City of Springfield, Office of Procurement not later than August 18, 2010 Questions may be faxed or mailed. The Office of Procurement fax number is (413) 787-6295. The RFP Committee will compile written answers which will be mailed back to all Proposers who requested a copy of the RFP, no later than August 20, 2010.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.


The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
